My students are hard working kids who love to learn. Sure, we are nestled in the city of Richmond, VA, but you wouldn't guess it if you walked into my room…instead, you'd find yourself transported to a conservatory full of diverse students composing, choreographing, writing, and growing.
This iPad will give students access to composing tools, games, interactive quizzes and so much more.
We use an online music curriculum called QuaverEd that is full of fun interactive music activities that my students love, but also provide me with lots of data about how their learning is progressing.
I am hoping to eventually secure a class set of devices for our students to use not just in music, but in the art room next door as well! Last year, our amazing art educator used the iPads for older students to research Black artists for a Living Art Museum project. We only have a few iPads at this point, so students have to share them and take turns, so your donation will take us one step closer to providing our students modern music and art making experiences.
