This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As A Leader in Me school, we teach principles and skills that are essential to personal leadership such as responsibility, time management, communication, collaboration, relationship building, and wellness, in order to serve all students in all communities. Students in our school community take on responsibilities often managed by adults. One of those roles is to collect lunch pails in the mornings to be placed in the "chuckwagons" for daily storage and then to collect again at the end of lunch to bring back to class.
Student leaders learn to be responsible for jobs they have applied for as they take an active part in our supportive school environment.
We are asking for help with funding for 6 foldable wagons to be used by our TK-1st Grades for the storage, collection, and return of lunch pails as part of the student leadership roles on campus. We currently have a couple in use at the school site but they are not sufficient enough for our needs. Thank you for your consideration.
