This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All of my classes are filled with enthusiastic students who are eager to learn. Everyday we are faced with some mathematical problem that we use realistic skills to solve. We like to call it our mathematical approach.

Some challenges that we face in my classroom are not having enough technology for each student and not being able to print out resources for our projects.

Even though we face this, we still remain positive and keep positive energy at all times. We would like to have a unique classroom that we come to everyday that we can consider home.

My Project

My students want to feel like someone cares about them all the time. I want to incentivize them by having a coffee station in the room to use when they go above and beyond during instruction. This will help control student behavior as well as increase student participation in the classroom.

Having efficient warming stations let students bring home food and warm it as if it was cooked that day.

Our lunches in school are not the best. Students will bring their lunches, but have no efficient way of warming them. Everyone can benefit from this home appliance.

Also, keeping the room tidy is key to enhancing the student learning community. We have custodians. However, realistically speaking, one person cannot clean an entire building by themselves. I can do my part by keeping my classroom tidy and free from clutter and dust.
