it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Something that has been a concern currently in education is how do we teach all students and ensure that ALL students learn at a high level. We didn't intend as teachers to have students that don't learn. We are in this profession because we want students to learn. So the question is how do we help all students in our rooms?
We know classrooms have many different students and these students vary in level and ability.
We have students that are on grade level. With effective teaching, they will meet the standard. We have students who are above grade level, these students need viable extension activities to get the most out of their education. Then we have students below grade level who need intervention and scaffolding to get them on grade level.
Modern classroom is a way to address all of these concerns. I will be creating a modern classroom setup in my class. This involves creating standard-based modules that students move through on their own while I facilitate learning and am free to mediate with students who need it. The basis of this is creating learning videos for students that they can watch as they go through the module. For this to work, I need headphones for students in class and splitters to allow students to collaborate with each other.
