Help me give my students visualizations to understand challenging Earth Science concepts! Hands-on, investigative activities leads to better learning outcomes. All of these models and activities will be a resource for students for many years to come.
These models will provide hands-on visualizations for Earth Science concepts that my students struggle with: karst topography, topographic maps, star life cycle, eclipses, moon phases, and features of the seafloor. While 2D pictures and videos are nice, nothing beats a 3D model students can interact with that brings these concepts to life.
Models are critical to student understanding of concepts that are hard to visualize.
These will be used in whole group, small group, and individually to provide students an opportunity to experience and understand these critical Earth Science concepts. By using these models, my students will be able to create connections with the content and better be able to ask questions to deepen their understanding of Earth's complex systems. The great thing about these models is they will last for years and serve their purpose for hundreds of future students.
