Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students will be more successful in chemistry using models. Modeling kits give students hands-on experiences that make difficult concepts understandable.
The model kits make the classroom dialogues rich because the students use the models to communicate what they're thinking then I can provide feedback that deepens their understanding.
One set of kits focuses on the behavior of water while the other set show the shape of molecules. Not only will the concepts be more understandable, the modeling sets will positively impact the students and the community by improving their confidence and interactions with others through group work.
