I teach a diverse set of students who learn best with hands-on activities and visual demonstrations of our life science content. The ChromoSocks set is designed to walk my students through each stage of meiosis allowing them to visualize cell processes to boost student understanding.
Students will model the events of meiosis while focusing on Mendel's laws, investigating the formation of gametes, fertilization, and the possible combination of alleles from fertilization.
This kit will also help me assess each student's mastery of meiosis content as well as provide extension activities for my advanced learners to address telomeres, deletions, epigenetic changes, and other complex genetic topics.
