Help me give my students highly engaging educational lessons with the use of bright post its, dry erase markers and pens to model work and create anchor charts.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Welcome! Our classroom is a third grade gifted and talented classroom in the South Bronx. What makes our class special? We are highly motivated and ready for any challenge that comes our way.
We love STEM projects that push our brains towards minds-on thinking and our bodies towards hands-on learning.
STEM projects drive our learning and we look forward to these projects, but, we also strive for active engagement during regular studies during the day. We are an eclectic bunch of individuals striving for excellence.
My Project
While teaching remotely, I engage students using a variety of techniques. Major techniques that I have been using while teaching remotely is modeling my thinking for mathematics as well as reading comprehension.
These skills are necessary for students to visually see thinking modeled in order to see how to solve a problem physically.
I need to have fresh materials to use while modeling for students during digital learning with my document camera and white board. Students are able to ask questions and I can model their thinking and remediate their work in live time.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
