My Project
These items will help students use their creativity to create a model of a water park. The park will give hands-on experience for learning Algebra I skills like slope, distance, midpoints, area, perimeter, etc.
I'm using this project to create excitement for Math by creating a model of a real life experience. Algebra is a foundational piece in upper level math classes. It is an important part for future success.
The students will work cooperatively to create a blueprint for the park, create math problems for their speculations on the blueprint, and then finally build a replica of the water park.
This classroom project was brought to life by The State of Oklahoma.
