My Students
Our school is a vibrant and diverse elementary school in the heart of Brooklyn, and that diversity is integrated into every aspect of our school's educational experience and into our classroom.
Our classroom is a truly amazing place.
As an integrated setting, our room is filled with students at every step of the educational spectrum, with a variety of special skills, needs, and interests. We work to meet each student where they are and to support and challenge each of them throughout the year.
Our school and our classroom is something to be proud of, to celebrate and to support.
My Project
We are requesting this easy-to-use, low frustration modeling clay for our literary non-fiction research projects. Students are able to spend more time and energy creating their work, and less trying to problem-solve their creations; traditional modeling clay is often a difficult material for 6-year-olds.
Our first graders will create dioramas to show all that they learned about their study of animal's features and habitat.
They will use this clay to create their animals as well as their surrounding environments. As it is easy to mold, and more importantly easy to repair, the students can work in a low-stress way, focusing more energy on getting their fantastic ideas out!
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
