Access to mobile whiteboards in our classroom will revolutionize the way my students interact with mathematical concepts, making learning more engaging and effective.

Our current classroom setup follows outdated norms with students seated and the teacher standing at the front. This traditional setup has led to passive learning, where students mimic the teacher rather than engaging deeply with the material. For students with special needs, the traditional environment is particularly limiting.

Promote Active Learning: Encourage students to engage actively with problems by working in groups at vertical whiteboards.

Enhance Collaboration: Foster a collaborative learning environment where my students can discuss and solve problems together.

Improve Teacher Interactions: Allow myself to move freely, providing immediate feedback and guidance.

Achieve Target Goals: Consolidate math goals through group discussions and feedback sessions.

My Project

The mobile whiteboards will be strategically placed to create multiple workstations. Each student group will work at a vertical board, allowing them to stand, move, and engage dynamically. I will visit each group, facilitate discussions, ask probing questions, and provide feedback. This setup will help consolidate math goals with all groups at the end of each lesson.

Implementation Plan

Setup: Acquire mobile whiteboards and arrange them for optimal group workstations.

Training and Orientation: Provide an orientation for my students on effective use and group work.

Ongoing Support: Continuously support my students in adapting to the new learning environment.

Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess engagement and understanding through formative assessments, providing ongoing feedback.
