My Project

After reading Peter Liljedahl's book, Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics, I would like to set up my math classroom in a way that supports building a thinking classroom. I would like students to be challenged with the math topics and have the workspace to collaborate and grow their mathematical reasoning and understanding. Liljedahl says students need to be in small groups working on vertical surfaces when taking on thinking tasks. These rolling whiteboards and markers will help me set up my classroom in this way. I want a classroom that allows students to work together to develop their mathematical understanding.
