it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year is my sixth year as the Visual Arts teacher at my school. I work in a school in Brooklyn that has over 950 students. I work with children from pre-k to fifth grade. I want to inspire my art students to explore different materials and create fantastic works of art. I absolutely love making connections with all of my students and being able to broaden their knowledge about what art is and what it can be.
Most of my students think of art in a very traditional way: its painting, drawing and sculpting, but my goal is to show them the vast uses, techniques and ideas that are all ART!
My students are amazing and they teach me something new every day. They are talented, curious, and they love to experiment and learn new techniques as they express their ideas through art.
My Project
All classrooms should have modern technological resources available for use. However, not all of our classrooms are equipped with working or up to date smart boards, and some classrooms do not have one at all. On days where I go from room to room teaching art, I would love to be able to have technology available for me and my students, with out having to rely on whats already in their classroom.
My goal is to obtain a mobile tv stand and VGA cord that will enhance my in-person lessons.
I desperately need up-to-date equipment that will allow me to display my content videos and clips that correspond with my art assignments on the go. This super light yet sturdy mobile TV stand will do the trick, by saving time and energy.
