Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with students who need extra support in math. I work with students who are smart, capable, and trying their best, but who benefit from targeted, small-group or one-on-one intervention. I push into classrooms throughout the school day to meet students where they are, both academically and physically. But moving from room to room with limited tools makes it hard to support them effectively.
This project will fund an iPad, Apple Pencil, and protective case to help bring high-quality math intervention to any classroom I enter.
The iPad will serve as a mobile teaching and recording tool. I’ll use it to demonstrate strategies, model problem-solving steps, and whether writing directly on digital worksheets or using whiteboard apps for visual explanations.
The Apple Pencil allows for precise, handwritten instruction that mirrors paper-based methods, making it easier for students to follow along. I’ll also be able to save and share work digitally with students and teachers, which supports continuity and reinforces concepts over time.
The case ensures the technology stays protected while moving between rooms throughout the day.
This iPad setup will make it easier for me to personalize instruction, capture student work, and deliver flexible, engaging math intervention across grade levels and classrooms. Students will benefit from more visual learning, instant feedback, and the ability to revisit examples outside of our sessions.
