Mobile Maker Spaces Means STEM for All!

My Students

Our school has over 850 students in grades kindergarten through second. The majority of our students receive free and reduced breakfasts and lunches. We serve a community that is full of diversity. Our amazing kids represent many different cultures, lifestyles, family structures, and religions.

Our students are strong, resilient, and dedicated to learning, and despite the challenges our students may face outside the classroom, they come to school every day ready to learn and thrive.

I love their enthusiasm for learning, their passion, and their curiosity about the world around them. I love how they use their creativity to figure out solutions to real-world problems. I know providing a learning environment that incorporates STEM into the daily curriculum, will be so beneficial to all of our students.

My Project

These reusable maker space supplies, including construction sets and brick kits, will be divided between 12 mobile maker space carts that will service 38 classrooms and over 850 kinder through second-grade students. They will allow for hands-on learning opportunities designed to inspire students to seek knowledge about the world around them and gain a deeper understanding of how the world works by solving real-world problems through designing and building prototypes, investigating, analyzing, and interpreting data, thinking outside the box, and collaborating with peers. Our carts will integrate STEM lessons while also providing innovative educational opportunities that foster academic growth and curiosity.
