My Students

My students are some of the best students I have encountered in my 26 years of teaching. They are eager to learn and have a heart for each other.

Our students tackle big problems head-on using STEM education and the design process.

3D printing, Robotics, CNC machines, Laser engravers, and other innovative tools in the school give our students the means to create and innovate in their education. It is amazing to give a challenge and see where they take it to find a solution.

My Project

MMS robotics classes are a favorite of students. With four sections of Automation Robotics and a new full year advanced course, old batteries were keeping students from experimenting with their designs. These new longer-life batteries will allow class after class to experiment all day.

Students take a challenge problem, design a solution, build and test their own robot.

A class favorite is the challenge of loading supplies at the rocket landing pad, autonomously transport, then unload at the martian habitat. Robots are designed to follow a path avoiding obstacles.
