Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My ML (Multilingual Learners) would love to have translation devices in the TESOL classroom as well as in their regular education classroom as they are first coming our school. My ML students speak Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and many other languages!
While I am teaching them to speak English, they would love some items to be quickly translated into their native language for support!
For example, to know that for lunch is pasta or chicken nuggets, or that the class is transitioning to art, would be so helpful! My students would be so appreciative of the additional support in the TESOL classroom and beyond.
