This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very creative and inventive and support each other with immense compassion and patience! They are constantly helping each other with their projects, even when I would prefer them to work alone! They inspire me to no end!

Mixed Media Collage - Showing Space, Texture, and Value!
Students will create space in their artwork through texture and value by using mixed media.
These materials will allow students to experience and experiment further with the techniques of art. Working with Mixed Media helps the students develop their understanding of varied textures through their sense of touch. They are literally getting inside their art. This has a calming effect which can be wonderful for all students, but particularly for students with disabilities, emotional challenges, and other cognitive issues.
