Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students at Metz Middle School are excitable and passionate. They are resilient and not defined by the many socioeconomic challenges in our schools and neighborhoods, nor do they shrink from the rigor of their studies and the high expectations of their teachers. To help expand their experiences, we engage in many Project-Based Learning. Our classroom needs basic supplies to continue these projects, such as art supplies, pencils and sharpener, poster board, and headphones.
What I find most inspiring is that these students are from many different backgrounds and social groups are interacting, collaborating, and teaching each other through PBL opportunities.
