My students need two iPad minis in order to increase their exposure to modern technology. This will help them to meet the expectations of the Common Core Standards.
My students are committed to doing whatever it takes to get to college. The resources I am asking for will help them navigate that path!
Our school is a tuition-free public charter school educating students in grades K-8 who reside in Duval County.
Our students come from various backgrounds. Families choose to attend this school because they share our mission and values, and have a strong commitment to a better education for their child.
My Project
As the expectations for technology integration increase, while funding remains the same, I am asking for your donation towards two iPad minis for our classroom. My students will be using these minis to aid them in mastering the Common Core Standards. There are several new standards that rely heavily on access to electronic mediums. Our school does not have enough tablets, computers, readers, etc. to facilitate the mastery of these standards. Through your donation, they will have access to and endless supply of electronic books, games, and standards-based electronic learning activities.
Your donation to this projects will help these students read books in an electronic format, a concept foreign to most of them.
They will also have access to certain games and apps designed solely for tablet accessibility. These games will help tremendously in the planning process to differentiate classroom activities.
More than half of students from low‑income households
