My Project
First graders are blasting off into space with hands-on learning! In our CKLA Domain 6 Astronomy unit, we’ll bring the solar system to life by painting planets, creating constellations, and exploring the moon’s surface through art and science.
With acrylic paints, black cardstock, gold star stickers, and modeling tools, my young astronomers will:
Paint the solar system – Blending colors to mimic real planets
Create textured moons – Using tools to add craters and details
Design constellations – Connecting the stars like real astronomers
Explore galaxies – Painting vibrant night skies
These materials will turn our classroom into a space lab, where learning is hands-on, engaging, and unforgettable. Your support will ignite curiosity and creativity, inspiring the next generation of scientists, artists, and dreamers.
