This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, learning is more than just textbooks and tests—it's about creating a positive and engaging environment where every student feels seen, motivated, and excited to grow. This project aims to bring in a variety of classroom incentives—such as water bottles, mini toys, and space-themed prizes—that directly support the school-wide space theme and student achievement by reinforcing positive behavior and academic effort. These tools aren't just fun extras; they are proven strategies to boost motivation, focus, and participation, especially for students who need that extra encouragement. By providing tangible rewards, we are cultivating a classroom culture that celebrates effort and nurtures a love for learning.
My goal with this project is to create a classroom environment where students are excited to show up and give their best every day.
My students are a diverse and resilient group of young learners, many of whom face challenges outside of school that make academic success even more difficult. Yet every day, they show up with determination and heart. They are creative, kind, and full of potential—and they deserve the type of support that helps them thrive. These incentives will make a daily difference in their learning experience, allowing me to recognize their hard work and encouraging them to strive for even higher achievements.
