My Students
My students are great kids who are eager to learn. This year we are focusing on literacy and fluency. Better readers mean better lifelong learners. My students have been reading this series; however, we do not have the last book.
Our school is a large school with extremely outdated materials.
These students are stricken by proverty at home and in the classsroom. They have a love for learning but with materials that are extremely outdated, it is difficult. Teachers provide as much as we can, but this fourth novel has been out of reach!! We are currently reading the third book in the series and would love to have the oppurtunity to complete the series this school year.
My Project
This is the fourth novel in the series of Joey Pigza. My studnets have been reading this series and absolutely loveing it!!! The students are finding figuartive lanuage, higher meaning vocabulary, plot, theme, etc. This has been a great series to meet the high expectations of Common Core.
This project will allow my students to read the end of the series and see how Joey has changed over time.
My students have been reading and digging into these novels all year. I would love for them to have the chance to finish the series!!
