My Project

It’s that time of year again where your favorite educators are asking for your help in supplying and sustaining their classrooms. I am one of those educators. Hello! My name is Miss G. and I need your help in obtaining snacks and refreshments for my classroom snack bar.

As educators we know that one of the main questions we get asked by our students throughout the school year is, "Do you have any snacks?" And, for some of us, we hear this as parents, too.

Sadly, there have been times where I’ve had to tell my students, "No, I don’t have any snacks" because the price of groceries are skyrocketing. Students have had to spend class time with a growling stomach, unable to focus on instruction or retain any of the information I was presenting.

As adults, we understand that if the basic needs are not being met first, then it is difficult to prioritize anything else. We should take what we know and support our children/students and put them in a position to where they can reach for success in the classroom. If one of the steps to ensure their success is to give them cookies, then so be it.

If you’d like to help me provide my students with snacks that they will have access to whenever they are hungry, please consider donating to this project. There is only so much I can do as an individual and with your help and support, we can make an impact, one Cup of Noodles at a time.
