it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are ecstatic to learn to dance, but for the vast majority of them, our school is the only place where they can do so effectively. These students are extremely enthusiastic about dance and have a great deal of potential. This is the third year that they have included dance as a special in their rotation of specials. There is a range of ages between 4 and 11 years old among them. We are one of only two schools in the area that provides FREE DANCE TRAINING to students at the elementary level. My students are members of a community in which education is regarded as their most valuable possession. They come to school every day with the goal of gaining as much knowledge as they possibly can.
Mirrors are essential in our dance classrooms.
Mirrors are critical to a dance education in a variety of ways. Not only does this aid in their comprehension of alignment ideas, but it also provides an opportunity for students to develop self-esteem and confidence in their craft. It enables them to choreograph while monitoring the progress of their task. It enables individuals to observe movement from a variety of angles, creating an inclusive atmosphere for all types of learners. These mirrors will also help our Dance Company to better prepare for school and community performances, along with going to contests competing against other ensembles around Texas! Mirrors will significantly increase their chances of success and excellence in their dancing education.
I intended to purchase mirrors on my own. Like I do for most supplies for the class and for decorations for our productions. Unfortunately, I lack the financial means to undertake this task on my own this time around. ANY assistance would be enormously helpful and extremely appreciated. Many thanks.
