My Students
In this small community with a big heart. Which makes this an awesome school! From farms to homes, the students come to our school with a plethora of knowledge from their unique backgrounds.
Whether from near or far, my students all look to have their dreams and hopes supported every day .
My eager students use what they know and have to create a brighter future for their families. Striving to make a difference in the places and people around them. Through enriching educational experiences, I believe my student's success is endless!
My Project
"That looks like me, Ms. T.!" Is one of my favorite things to hear my first graders say as I read a juicy book to them on the carpet. Nowadays I'm reading a book to my class via the computer yet the goal is still the same. The students enjoy story time as I change voices and add sound effects to engage them often. They follow my modeling in their independent reading sessions. Gladly transforming me from the observer to spectator who is dazzled by their storytelling skills!
I teach a multitude of multicultural students and they deserve to see themselves in the books we read!
Being able to relate and visualize the characters in the book supports the literacy connect to comprehension. The complex skill of comprehension is the area of improvement need for our population in reading. With your help and support I know we will continue to achieve literacy success. Thank you!
