Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is vital that our students have visuals resources accessible to them at all times as it will help them scaffold their learning and allow them grasp concepts. It will encourage students and function as a memory aid.
A color printer, toner, and paper will allow them to receive effective teaching and in return have effective learning.
In a school with Grades Pre-k 3 through Grade 5 along with two other schools in our building, there are many times it takes time for us to receive back copies in time for our lessons which we use our own personal printers to print what we need. There are times that the school printer is down and the wait for copies takes vital learning time away from our students! This printer would eliminate all the stress and hassle of trying to make copies. It would also allow us keep in constant contact and communication with our parents by having documents prepared to send home that they may need. The ability to provide engaging and captivating resources for our second grade students will continue to increase their motivation and desire to participate in our daily lessons.
Providing students with visual aids will help them learn the skills and strategies necessary to maximize student independence, encourage choice, and celebrate the problem-solving process. When students learn how to use the visual aids provided they develop self confidence and become self assured which are skills that will allow them to be successful in their educational journey.
