My Project

For many students, seeing themselves in literature is vital for their academic and personal growth. Research has shown that students who encounter stories that reflect their culture, identity, and background are more likely to develop a love for reading, feel empowered, and experience improved academic performance. Unfortunately, many minority students still lack access to books that authentically represent their diverse cultures and lived experiences.

With your generosity, my students will have access to books that authentically represent their diverse cultures.

These books will provide diverse perspectives, foster inclusivity, and inspire students by reflecting their lived experiences in the stories they read. These books represent a variety of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and historical narratives, offering students a broad range of reading experiences that align with our curriculum and foster a deeper understanding of different cultural contexts.
