My students are 5 and 6 year olds who attend a Title I school. We are a Title I school, because 90% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. My students come from low income families, where there is often only one parent working in the household. Even though my students come from a low economic environment, they are still very eager to learn. My students really need the basic essentials in life, because their parents are unable to provide these things for them.
My Project
My students need a mini video projector in the classroom for students to be able to see math problems, science videos, phonics worksheets and stories on the board. I will be able to hook the projector up to my computer so my students can see the worksheets on the board. My students would absolutely love getting to use the projector to foster students learning during our math and reading center time. They would be more engaged and take responsibility of their learning with this hands-on learning experience. At such a young age this is critical! Thank you so much in advance for supporting my classroom project.
