Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are seeking a Mini ATX PC that can accommodate the smaller build environment of our basement work space. We are looking to improve our computing capabilities and portability when we go to competition events that go beyond the use of laptops only.
Mini ATX computers are small enough to be easily transported by hand to our workshop, classroom, and events without the bulk of a full tower.
Moreover, the performance of these computers, unlike laptops that are limited by their physical and thermal constrains, can have faster CPUs and Ram, making them ideal for resource intensive tasks like CAD, coding, and vision processing. These computers are often more durable, cool more efficiently, and are more environmentally friendly.
Additionally, a mini ATX computer can enable us to update parts years down the line without having to buy an entire new unit. We can adjust particular components in a case by case means. This is more budget friendly over the lifetime of use.
Lastly, because of their design, these computers often have more capacity, and hardware headroom than comparable laptops for the price - often significantly more affordable.
