Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am lucky enough to teach a classroom of 25 energetic kindergartners! My students learn best when they are able to be directly involved in their own learning! These kids love to take the opportunity to "be a teacher" to their peers in the class.

These little bodies need to be constantly moving and engaged in what I am teaching.

Many of my students come from low-income homes. I would love to be able to serve my students by providing them with a unique and engaging educational experience.

My Project

My students are movers and thinkers! They always try their best and are eager to learn. Adding these materials would enhance their learning experience incredibly! Most of my students come into kindergarten not having any schooling prior. They learn so much including how to be kind people! Using picture books with character education themes is a great way for my students to personally connect with the message.

By using clipboards, my students can take their learning ANYWHERE!

Right now, there are not enough clipboards for every student in my class so we can't use them all at the same time. Not only does it provide the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom, but it will also cater to my young students need to be mobile learners.
