My Students
My Pre-K students do not have access to the computer lab because our school is growing so quickly. My students deserve to have opportunities to use technology in the classroom.
I teach 40 four and five year olds who love to come to school each day.
At their age they are little sponges and take in a lot of information in the few hours a day they are in my classroom. They are lucky to attend a school where our motto is "every child, every day, whatever it takes" and the teachers live by this motto.
My Project
We two iPad minis and protective cases, as well as headphones. With the addition of an iPad center in our classroom, the students will have opportunities to work on skills in all academic areas, including pre-reading skills, math skills, writing skills all while strengthening their fine motor skills. The iPads will provide opportunities for students to work at their own pace, polish up on already introduced skills and even provide assessment tools for me to individualize instruction.
The students in my classroom are the youngest students in our school and we must give them all of the positive learning experiences we can.
iPads will provide one more way to make sure they experience success and a love of learning.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
