My students need interesting and educational hands on materials. They can delve into an exploration of mammals, sea life, and the solar system all through exciting games.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Children love to wonder and planting the seeds through science will create a lifelong love of learning. Kids love learning about science and I would like to reach them through workshop time with interesting games and manipulatives, so they can explore and learn the way kids do best - through play.
My students are beautifully diverse and special.
They come from all walks of life - culturally, ethnically, spiritually, and economically. My school is a moderately impoverished school. We have a number of English Language Learners at our school. My students are fantastic and are starving for additional science fun!
My Project
My students will delve into science using a hands on approach. They will build their higher order thinking skills and be inspired to be more inquisitive about the world around them. They will be better able to examine the characteristics, behaviors, appearance, and actions of animals, space, earth and life science. We will use these science games and manipulatives at workshop time and through direct instruction as needed. They can also be used as a reward, motivating students to complete other less desirable work.
These materials will drastically improve the learning experience for my students by supplying them with more interesting choices.
Our resources are limited and I know my students will be inspired when they are presented with these very innovative learning materials.
