This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All my students come eager to learn through engaging activities or in need of a calming, safe space with flexible seating to sit in. When students feel they have all the necessary personal supplies to be successful they are more eager to learn and thrive in our class community.
By having sets of school supplies including crayons, markers, and scissors available for those who are unable to replenish they feel more welcome and not excluded.
Throughout the day students have the opportunity to participate in station activities that will need to be able to withstand all the excitement of hands on learning in math and reading. I am requesting a laminator and laminating pouches for center activities. My students are exceptionally special because they come with a heart open and ready to learn and grow their knowledge each day, even on the tough days. With the ability to upgrade our class calming corner students will have the necessary tools to be socially and emotionally successful for learning.
