Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative thinkers and problem solvers who thrive when given opportunities to explore and collaborate. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wide variety of perspectives to our classroom. For many, this will be their first time using Minecraft for educational purposes.
Imagine a classroom buzzing with excitement as students collaborate, create, and problem-solve their way through unique challenges inspired by their neighborhoods.
With Battle of the Boroughs, we want to spark innovation and teamwork by incorporating Minecraft into our curriculum.
By integrating Minecraft into our classroom, students will have the opportunity to reimagine their neighborhoods and boroughs through creative builds, bringing their ideas to life in a virtual world. They will collaborate with peers to design innovative solutions to real-world challenges, fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills. Minecraft’s gamified platform will also help students develop valuable coding and STEM skills in an engaging and student-friendly way. Most importantly, this project will allow students to connect their learning to their own lives and communities, making their education meaningful and relevant. This hands-on learning experience will inspire creativity while building 21st-century skills like collaboration, critical thinking, and digital literacy.
