My Project
As an SEL coach, I support educators with integrating SEL practices into their academic teaching and support students' development across the five areas of social and emotional competence.
For this project, I envision creating a physical space in my building, called "Peaceful Plaza," that prioritizes students' emotional health and supports students as they take ownership of regulating their emotions.
This space will be accessible to students who need time and strategies to regulate their emotions, ultimately helping them return to class feeling ready to learn.
Some of the items are room dividers and bean bag seats. Thank you so much!
