Leitch is full of amazing students! We are a unique school with only TK through second grade. Being a school with such young students is fun and full of energy. However, students need guidance on how to take a moment when frustrated. The yoga mats will be a great addition to our physical education class when learning mindfulness techniques.
The mats will be used to practice mindfulness strategies during PE class.
Which will hopefully give students some tools to help them through any difficult or stressful moments. As well as, help students focus when returning back to their classroom. The mats will also be handy during rainy day PE. We are luckily that we have a classroom but there is no carpeting. When stretching the ground is hard and cold. Mats will add some much needed cushion to the ground.
