Mindfulness Mats

Help me give my students Yoga mats and blocks to use so they can learn how to practice mindfulness during the school day.

My Project

Daily mindfulness practices have been tied to increased student attendance rates, decreased suspension rate, and reductions in stress and anxiety. Wellness practices have been shown to increase student confidence and performance, especially for those who have experienced trauma.

Help me teach students how something as simple as a yoga mat can be a tool to self empowerment and emotional regulation through out the school day.

Recently, a study by the Columbia University Center for Benefit-Cost Studies in Education found that every dollar invested in social and emotional growth has a societal return of $11.
