This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Social emotional skills and learning to self regulate can be quite challenging in the preschool classroom. I love to have an abundance of materials to help my students identify and cope with the many feelings they experience throughout the day. We are asking for books, play dough, fidget toys, rugs for our calming areas, and more to support our students' emotional needs. Having fidget toys available for student who have difficulty sitting through circle time is essential to maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Having a variety of materials that helps students identify their feelings is crucial in facilitating and guiding them with coping skills.
