Mindfulness Class Materials

My students need two Tibetan Meditations Singing Bowl gongs and 30 Zafumeditation mats for our mindfulness class to create an environment that will improve their alertness and the quality of their experience.

My Students

This is the first time that we have implemented this Mindfulness course. We want to give the students the ability to use non-traditional (western) coping mechanisms in a life that can be hectic. Social, emotional, and behavioral issues are all challenges that can prevent students from excelling.

The students that will be taking part in this course are students enrolled in the Health Enhancement courses.

They come from all walks of life, however learning mindfulness practices can have a positive impact on the development of all children. Our school aims to help students achieve their academic and social goals for their future success and through implementing a mindfulness course, we hope to increase students academic performance and overall happiness.

My Project

My students need two Tibetan Meditations Singing Bowl gongs and 30 Zafumeditation mats for our mindfulness class to create an environment that will improve their alertness and the quality of their experience. These materials will provide an environment that is peaceful and comfortable for all learners. We want our students to learn about the strength of our minds and how we can use our minds in a positive and beneficial way. We will discuss the breathing techniques, ego, compassion, empathy, and consciousness.

Donations for this project will help us create a classroom climate that focuses on the present moment.

This project aims at helping students' balance their lives while learning techniques that will give them the ability to focus on centering themselves. If we want to see our students have an impact on our society, they must have strong social, emotional and behavioral skills on top of their ability to think and creates
