Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are working to create a restorative environment for our students and our community. These spaces help students and staff feel comfortable and provide an opportunity to calm down and ultimately work through the harm that has been done and reintegrate into the learning environment. Materials and supplies requested will be able to help create a mindfulness center which can be a place were students go to focus and center themselves in order to be more productive in class. It is also a place where students can participate in support groups, mediations and restorative conversation to learn coping skill, conflict resolution and learn how to use their voice effectively!
