This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The iPad mini will give my students access to mental health apps focused on mindfulness, stress reduction, and emotional regulation. These interactive tools are particularly helpful for students who struggle with traditional methods, as they provide a more engaging and intuitive experience.
Using the "Breathe2Relax" app on the iPad, my students will follow visual cues, like expanding shapes, to regulate their breathing and reduce stress.
The facilitator will guide them through the exercise using the iPad mini. This interactive component helps students stay engaged and provides real-time support to promote mindfulness and emotional well-being.

- Help students build resilience to manage stress.
Create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable exploring their emotions.
- These goals align with our mission to foster a balanced learning environment that addresses both academic and emotional needs.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, many of whom face challenges outside the classroom. They are resilient, but need extra emotional support to succeed. Some are English learners or have special needs, making a hands-on, sensory approach especially effective. The iPad mini will help create more inclusive lessons tailored to their needs.
