My Project
The simple materials and tools I am requesting for my students were selected to support their mental and emotional well-being and to meet their unique needs as scholar-artists.
Our students have a rigorous high school schedule, balancing a demanding academic day with an equally intense pre-professional arts program in the afternoon.
They have one of, if not the longest high school days in the country. This combination, while incredibly rewarding, can also lead to stress, anxiety, and burnout. The items I’m requesting—such as mindfulness tools, stress-relief kits, comfortable seating for our dedicated "relaxation station" and community-building games — are designed to support their mental health and well-being. These resources will help create a space where students can decompress, reflect, and recharge.
By supporting this project, you’re not just helping to provide physical resources; you’re contributing to the emotional and mental well-being of young artists who are passionate about their craft. These resources will help them navigate the challenges of their intense schedules, allowing them to find balance and maintain their enthusiasm for both academics and the arts.
