This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is aimed to support the reading of students with disabilities on my caseload as well as their general education peers. At our school students have protected daily independent reading. This project is aimed to invest in engaging texts that capture student's interest. The resources promote reading and literacy, as well as mental health relaxers for students. The plan is to equip students with practical strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges through the stories and characters they encounter. Students will develop empathy and understanding for themselves and others by exploring diverse perspectives in the selected books. Students are also provided with fidget toys to relax their minds. My students mean the world to me and deserve to have the opportunity to read whatever books their hearts desire.
