Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a new 3rd grade teacher, I am excited to create a classroom environment that supports the whole child, including their physical and mental well-being. Daily movement is essential for focus, emotional regulation, and overall health.

This project will help me build a simple yet meaningful PE program that gives students the tools they need to thrive.

With your support, I will provide soccer balls, small pop-up nets, agility markers, and flag belts to bring structured, cooperative games into our PE routine. I am also requesting a hula hoop storage bag to organize our current equipment and make setup and cleanup more efficient.

These materials will allow students to develop coordination, build endurance, practice good sportsmanship, and work together in fun, engaging ways. Just as importantly, regular physical activity offers a healthy outlet for stress, supports social-emotional learning, and improves mood and focus in the classroom.

This project is about more than just playing games. It is about building confidence, creating community, and giving students the tools to care for their bodies and their minds.
