Help me give my students social emotional support by providing colored pencils for creative expression, stacking games to calm stress, an under-desk exercise pedal for teacher well-being, and anti-stress stickers to encourage a positive and calming classroom environment.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how resilient, creative, and full of energy my students are. They come to class every day eager to learn, even when faced with challenges. As a bilingual teacher, I see firsthand how important it is to support not only their academic growth but also their social-emotional well-being.
This project is designed to benefit both my students and me as their teacher, ensuring that our classroom remains a space where we can all thrive.
The colored pencils will allow my students to express themselves creatively, whether through art projects, journaling, or simply adding color to their work, which will help them to reduce stress and boost engagement. The under desk pedal will be a valuable tool for me as a teacher, promoting movement and well-being during long days in the classroom. Finally, the anti-stress stickers will serve as small but powerful reminders to practice mindfulness, self-regulation, and positivity throughout the day.
My goal for this project is to create a classroom environment that prioritizes both learning and well-being. By providing these resources, I hope to help my students manage their emotions, stay focused, and feel more comfortable expressing themselves.
