This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of our school's initiatives is supporting students' with mental and physical wellness. I am hoping to support my students regulate emotions, rest, and move their bodies inside our classroom.

Yoga mats will help students have a defined space for resting during quiet time and also provide a space for engaging in mindfulness and movement activities to support wellness.

Little children can have big emotions. Learning how to regulate and having enough time to rest and reset is essential to their learning. Having a comfy space to stretch out will make our quiet moments more relaxing and our movement breaks safer!
