Our classroom is full of movement and energy and bursting with literacy and mathematics instruction. We are very fortunate to use technology on a regular basis and many of my students are strong users of current media and technology. My students are motivated by all forms of digital learning.
They respect our classroom, each other and the school, and they love coming to school each day.
All of the teachers work together and collaborate extensively in teams to bring our students the best, most challenging lessons available.
My Project
This year, social-emotional learning is at the forefront of our day together. We start each day with circle time and discussions around mindfulness and inclusivity. These topics can be hard to approach with little learners but high-quality picture books that represent the learners make even a huge difference!
The stories presented in these beautiful books will inspire children and bring our classroom community together!
I can't wait to read these books with my class and watch how my students grow when they feel loved, respected, represented and supported through both the texts we read as well as our classroom interactions and discussions.
