My Project
To support my students’ social-emotional growth and thinking, I am requesting giant versions of games (Jenga, Connect Four, Guess Who, Uno, and Candy Land) to use in my Library MakerSpace. These games will provide a fun and engaging way for students to practice essential skills such as:
*Taking turns and waiting patiently
*Using verbal and nonverbal communication
*Recognizing and responding to peer emotions
*Problem-solving and strategizing
*Encouraging and celebrating others’ successes
By incorporating these games into our Library, all of our K4-5th grade students will have repeated opportunities to practice both critical life skills and thinking skills in a low-pressure, enjoyable setting.
These structured interactions will help them build confidence, self-regulation, and the ability to engage with peers in positive ways.
