My Students
My second graders are a great group of students! My classroom is made up of thirty eager first graders. I also have a wide range of reading and math abilities in my classroom. My reading levels range from pre-kindergarten to fourth grade. It's important that I read with these children every day to get them on grade level by the end of the year. Many of my students are very low readers, speak English as a second language and get free or reduced price lunch. All my students will do anything for anybody, especially the ESL students. We are always bringing the best out of everyone. Despite my students' backgrounds, they all have one thing in common and that is their love of learning and helping others.
My Project
My second grade classroom is in need of an interactive whiteboard. With MimioTeach Interactive Whiteboard, I can mount it to onto my board magnetically, so it's easy to move it to different classrooms or remove it for safekeeping. This will create engaging, student-centered, and interactive lessons. The students can enjoy all the tools and I will not need to encourage active learning. This will last through years of classroom use.
In my classroom, students will be able to classify objects, play math games, match digital and analog clock times, sort words by blends, edit sentences, play educational videos , and so much more.
Lessons will engage all types of learners from visual, auditory and kinesthetic. We will make use of the MimioTeach in every subject throughout the day. Thank you for taking time to read this project.
